This was one of the easiest DIYs we’ve done so far and really packs a punch! I wanted to switch out my chandelier for something a little more modern but didn’t want to spend a lot. We got THESE baskets and immediately knew they’d be perfect for this project! The price is for a set of two, which makes it even better. We used the smaller for THIS PLANT STAND DIY and the larger for this pendant lamp DIY.
The best part of this DIY?? No tools are required! We simply bought a light kit and fed the wire through the hole in the bottom of the basket. EASIEST. DIY. EVER. We also chose to paint our basket white but you could always leave yours natural or paint it a different color! This basket would look so cool matte black too!
Just install the light kit like a normal hard-wired light fixture and you’re done! Here is a link to the baskets we used as well as a super inexpensive light kit option:
