DIY Anthropologie Marble End Table Dupe: How to Create a Modern Marble End Table for Under $50

Anyone else love a good dupe?? This DIY Marble End Table is so easy to make, costs under $50, and requires no power tools!! The Anthropologie version is priced at $148 (see it here) 😱 that’s about a $100 savings!! We’ll show you how we created this dupe in about a day!

What You’ll Need

  • Round Marble Tray – THIS is the one we used (we were able to snag it on sale for just $20) but HERE is another good alternative! For a small end table/drink table, you’ll want it to be 8″-12″ in Diameter
  • 3/4 in. x 2 ft. Black Steel Schedule 40 Cut Pipe – THIS is the one we used (make sure it’s threaded on both ends)
  • Two 3/4 in. Black Iron Floor Flanges – THIS is what we used
  • Gold Spray Paint – Click HERE for our favorite one!
  • Cement – THIS is what we used
  • Plastic Bowl (to be used as a cement mold) – THIS one is only $2 and the perfect shape!
  • Pam Cooking Spray
  • Liquid Nails

How to Create your DIY Marble End Table

  1. Take your Pam cooking spray and spray the inside of your bowl. This will insure that your cement comes out easily once dry!
  2. Mix your cement according to the instructions and pour into your bowl. Make sure you don’t completely fill it because we’ll need to put the pipe into the cement.
  3. Screw one flange onto one end of your pipe, then push the flange/pipe down into your bowl of cement. The flange helps with making sure your pipe is straight and level. Make sure you center the pipe in the bowl and use a level to make sure your pipe is straight. Leave your bowl of cement/pipe to completely dry/cure according to the cement instructions.
  4. Once your cement is fully dry, take it out of your bowl (it should slide right out thanks to the cooking spray). Now you can spray paint your pipe and remaining flange (alternatively you could paint it prior to putting it into the cement, but we wanted to paint the cement anyway so we weren’t worried about overspray and it’s much easier to paint a round pipe like this since it will stand up by itself in the base). We decided to paint our remaining flange white to match the marble tray, but you could also paint it gold to match the pipe.
  5. Once your flange is painted, adhere it to the center of the underside of your marble tray using Liquid Nails. Place a few heavy books on top of it and allow it to cure according to the Liquid Nails directions.
  6. While you’re waiting for the Liquid Nails to cure, paint your cement base if desired. This is totally optional as the cement color and finish is beautiful on its own!
  7. Once everything is dry and cured, screw your pipe into the flange adhered to your marble tray. Now you have a beautiful DIY Marble End Table!
