We’ve seen so many pretty moss wreaths floating around the internet lately! They can be a little expensive sometimes, so we thought we’d set out to make our own! Walmart had everything we needed to make this, which made it super easy to create.
Here’s what we used:
- 18″ FloraCraft Wire Wreath Form
- Sheet Moss
- Forest Moss
- Reindeer Moss
- Mixed Moss
- Hot Glue Gun
- Hot Glue Sticks
Steps:
- Lay your sheet moss out upside down and place the wreath form on top of it upside down. Cut the sheet moss around the wreath, leaving a little margin to be able to fold the sheet over the wire form on the sides. Peel off the backing and secure the sheet moss to the wreath form.
- Flip your wreath over and begin securing one type of moss to the wreath using the hot glue/glue gun. Starting with one type of moss makes the process easier because you can create a design/pattern and then use other mosses to fill in the gaps. Make sure you add moss to the inside and outside edges to create a more full look!
And that’s it! Use a nail or wreath hanger to secure to your door. We chose to hang ours over a mirror, so we just used some twine to secure it to the top. This wreath is great for any season, especially fall with its woodsy, cozy texture! It would also be super easy to transition it into the holidays by adding some simple ribbon to the top.
